Keith Norwalk is the President of Crown Hill Cemetery and the Crown Hill Heritage Foundation. During his twenty-three year tenure, he has overseen the growth and success of many new services and programs for Crown Hill families including the construction of the Crown Hill Funeral Home, the Heroes of Public Safety section, and the Field of Valor Veterans Section. His leadership of the Crown Hill Heritage Foundation has resulted in the raising of over ten million dollars for the restoration of many of Crown Hill’s historic structures.
Ted is married to his wife , Bev, for 36 years. They have two children; Mikel 28 living in Arlington VA—graduate of Hanover College; Riley , 24 Graduate of Indiana University, now attending Butler University pursuing a Masters as a Physician Assistant. Their proud parents moment was when Riley was the 2011 Indianapolis 500 Queen - based on scholastic, poise, and community service. Originally from Madison Indiana, Ted graduated from Ball State University with a BS in Psychology, and started in the industry immediately upon graduation with Memory Gardens Management Corporation. Starting as a Pre-Need Representative in 1975, and ending his career there after 32 years as the Vice President of Operations.
Ted is a Past President of The Indiana Cemetery Association and was a member of The State Board of Funeral and Cemetery Service. He enjoys baseball; is licensed Indiana High School Umpire for 41 years; has an Indiana Life Insurance License; a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Indianapolis.
Mike Moffitt has been working in the funeral industry since 1989.He has worked as a Funeral Dir., Manager, and owner and in casket sales. He is now the Director of Funeral Operations for Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery. According to Mike, working at Crown Hill is great experience and is a privilege to come to work every day. Mike is married to his amazing wife Cristy and they have a marvelous daughter Kate. In his free time he likes to spend time with his family, watching boxing and MMA and reading about history. He is also volunteer with the Indianapolis Salvation Army.
Chris Hensley started working at Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery in 1991. Through his dedication to serving families, Chris worked his way to Assistant Superintendent in 2005 and then was promoted to Superintendent in 2013. Chris and his grounds team take pride in their care for the beautiful grounds of the cemetery.
Native to Indianapolis, Chris graduated from Franklin Central High School. He and his wife have two children, Christopher and Jessica. They are the proud grandparents of Alexis, Christopher, Conner, and Isabella. When not working or with his family, Chris is an avid Colts fan and enjoys watching college basketball.
William Young has been with Crown Hill since 2011. He became interested in being a funeral director at a young age. William’s family owned a small funeral home and he started working for his family at the age of 11. Watching his family work with others in such a difficult time inspired William to follow in their footsteps. When asked what he most enjoys about working at Crown Hill, William said “helping families through tough times.” This is not the only way William helps families. He also serves at a Deputy Police Office for the Madison County Sherriff Department.
William enjoys watching football and volunteering at the Anderson Community Center.
