“Final Finish Line” Unveiling and Dedication!
Join us on Sunday, June 10 at 2 pm for the unveiling and dedication of the “Final Finish Line,” a row of bricks a yard wide installed in the road at the base hill by Indianapolis Motor Speedway founder Carl G. Fisher’s mausoleum and next to the beautiful Racing Legacy sign installed last year! The “Final Finish Line” will include bricks engraved with the names of the four Indianapolis Motor Speedway founders, Carl G. Fisher, James A. Allison, Frank W. Wheeler, and Arthur Newby. This ceremony will feature great speakers and vintage cars! Refreshments will be available.
Indy 500 Radio Network legend Howdy Bell will serve as master of ceremonies and remarks will be made by Crown Hill President Keith Norwalk, Indiana Racing Memorial Association Co-founders Brian Hasler and Mark Eutsler, Crown Hill Board Member Chris MacAllister, and other special guests. Come and hear the famous, “Back Home Again in Indiana” sung for the ceremony!
Following the unveiling, a 1915 Packard Pace car will ceremoniously cross the “finish line,” followed by a Maserati winning Indy car, and a Boyle Hauler. A Marmon Wasp, and possibly other famous cars will be on display for viewing. Refreshments and some chairs will be available. Feel free to bring your own!
