Warren J. Couto was born to Julian and Mary Couto in Westwego, Louisiana on September 20, 1927. He married Albertha Swing on January 26, 1946.
They had six children four daughters; Joyce Marie Couto Smith, deceased, Laura Ann Couto Shoffner Couto, Diane Couto Freeman Grant and Mary Louise Couto , deceased; two sons Warren J. Couto, Jr. , and his wife Beverly Gail, and Freddie Jerome Couto. He had thirteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and three great-great- grandchildren.
He left God’s Good Earth on March 5, 2010.
