Phyllis F. Shackelford, 94, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday January 07, 2012. Phyllis was born in Bismarck, IL. She was preceded in death by her mother Julia when she was 12, her step mother “Muggsy” Osborn of Rossville, IL., her first husband Johnny Terrell, her second husband Henry D. Shackelford, and her son Jim Shackelford.
Phyllis was a lifelong homemaker, a loving wife and a devoted mother to two sons. She was an accomplished cook, an avid reader, a lover of crafts and an unfailingly kind woman. She is survived by her oldest son Stan Shackelford, his wife Mary Jane Parker, her daughter-in-law Kathy Shackelford, her sister-in-law Kathy Kingery and several nieces and nephews.
