John M. Gordon, 89 of Indianapolis passed on September 10, 2008. A proud father and husband, Gordon was an Interior Designer, an Indianapolis resident since 1949. His beloved wife, Virginia Gordon, passed in 2006. He is survived by his son, John A. Gordon, of San Diego, CA. He was a proud veteran of World War II, with the Army Troop Carrier Command. He worked as an award winning Interior Designer with L.S. Ayres and Co., then the city’s leading retailer, from 1949 to his retirement in 1984. He was ASID certified, and a graduate of Parson’s School of Design. He was a great husband and father. He was a romantic, artistic, educated and gentle man. He is survived by his son John A. Gordon, San Diego, CA. Services will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. with calling from 11:30 A.M. at the Crown Hill Funeral Home Chapel.
