Lenora Grissom

January, 19, 1930 - July, 19, 2008

Lenora Grissom 78, Indianapolis, passed away July19, 2008. She was born to Leonard and Jellena Mitchell on January 19, 1930. Lenora was a loving wife and mother, an exceptional cook, a patron of the theatrical arts, played the violin, and dabbled in oil painting. Lenora had a passionate love for her church, her entire extended family, all children, friends and neighbors. She was a graduate of Crispus Attucks High School and attended Ball State University. She was a staunch member and officer of Light of the World Christian Church (DOC). Lenora is survived by her husband, Robert W.; sons, Robert W. III and his wife Jeanette, Bradford and his wife Sandy, and Patrick and his wife Pamela Grissom; daughter, Denise Grissom, Eugenia Grissom; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 West 38th Street will be at 9:30 a.m. July 26, 2008. Services will begin at 11 a.m.
