In Loving Memory of Hule Baylock
Hule Baylock passed away on June 15, 2017. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 10:00 a.m., at Crown Hill Funeral Home (700 West 38th St, Indianapolis, IN 46208), with services at 12:00 p.m. Burial to immediately follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Hule “Lucky” Baylock was born on May 21, 1918 in Mississippi. As a young man he settled in St. Louis, Missouri and later moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, where he lived to be 99 years old.
Hule worked at a saw mill, he later became a skilled construction worker and was a member of local Union 120.
Hule loved life and people, he had a great personality and celebrated life with joy and laughter. Hule enjoyed each day to the fullest and lived a long productive life. He was kind and generous, often helping his friends in need.
Hule spent almost everyday with his “boys” at Riverside Park, where he was affectionately know as “Mr. B”, there he played cards, pitched horse shoes and simply socialized. Hule was viewed by his friends as a father and grandfather, which they called him “dad”. Each year he looked forward in anticipation of the yearly birthday party his friends held for him in the park. This year, he was too ill to attend so the party was brought to him!
For many decades he was an active member of Eastern Star Baptist Church, in which he served on the Usher Board until his health begin to failed. Hule was a fashionable dresser and loved to look his best.
Hule “Lucky” Baylock went to be with his Lord on June 15, 2017. He leaves to cherish his memories daughter, Franki Foreman, brother, Jesse McKinley, nieces; Ella Crenshaw, Pamela Terrell, Shannon Terrell and nephew Keegan Jacob Cosby. 2 godsons; Frazier “June” Osborne a.k.a “soldier boy”, Kelvin Beamon, special friend, Mariah Ervin and many other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
