Mrs. Ferne Elise Phillips

Ferne Elise Phillips 92, died August 16, 2010. She was born Feb. 7, 1918 in Boston, MA. She was known for her positive attitude and happy heart. A grand-daughter remembers her always saying, "a merry heart doeth good like a medicine" and "the sun will come out tomorrow." She loved God and her children above all else. She will be missed but has been released from a condition that no longer reflected the incredible person she was. Survivors include her three children, Ferne (Wayne) Clapp, Ohio, Richard (Mary) Phillips III, TN, Tricia (Lloyd) Bishop, Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The last years of her life were lived at Hooverwood. The family extends many thanks to all the loving staff for their endless care and devotion. Online condolences may be sent at www.crownhill.org.
