Anne Colsher Sando
93, of Zionsville, passed away January 28, 2012. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, May 27, 1918. She graduated magna cum laude from Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA in 1938 and was listed in ‘Who’s Who Among Students of American Colleges and Universities’.

She taught Latin and French in Lancaster County, PA before marrying Briant Sando, the love of her life, in 1942. They spent many happy years together in Indianapolis, Carmel, and 25 years of retirement in Madison, IN before moving to Zionsville Meadows in 2003.

Anne devoted her life to her family and was active in many organizations. She was a founding member of Orchard Park Presbyterian Church, President of the Carmel Band Boosters, Tri Kappa, among many others.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Briant; daughter, Bonnie Sando; son, Bob (Sally) Sando; and granddaughters Hattie Sando and Spring (Byron) Williams. She is preceded in death by her eldest son, “Sandy”, in 1993 and her sister, Marge Tkacz, in 2010.

Funeral Information

A private family service will precede her burial at Crown Hill Cemetery.
