In Loving Memory of Mia Natasha Price
The life she lived, the joy she gave
Mia Natasha Price was born June 20, 1978, to Paula J. Price and Rev. Clifton Dollison, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Mia gave her life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. Fitzhugh L. Lyons, Sr. As a child, Mia was involved in different youth ministries of the church, such as the Young People’s Choir and the Junior Usher Board. She later moved her membership to Eastern Star Church under Senior Pastor, Jeffery Johnson.
Mia was educated in the Indianapolis Public School system and graduated from Northwest High School in 1996. She went on to further her education by attending the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, Indiana.
Upon her return from school, Mia began her employment with the Marriott Hotels March 2001, working in Events Operation, Mia’s bubbly personality and strong work ethic helped her move her way from an entry position into a management position. She then went into Event Management at the Indianapolis Marriott. She later moved to the JW Marriott in September 2010 as Event Manager and then was promoted to Sr. Event Manager in 2014. Mia had just celebrated her 16th anniversary with Marriott in March.
Mia was a sweet and loving person, who would lend a hand or an ear to anyone in need. She enjoyed spending time with her coworkers and especially her family. Mia’s infectious laugh and smile would light up a room and make you feel at ease. Mia was a serious Colts fan! If you knew her, you knew not to bother her during a Colts game. She enjoyed shopping on the Home Shopping Network and QVC…shoes, shoes, shoes!
Mia Natasha departed this life on Saturday, April 22, 2017, to join her brother, Julius D. Lorick, Sr. and her grandparents in sweet rest. She leaves to cherish her loving memory: her mother, Ms. Paula J. Price; her father, Rev. Clifton Dollison (Valerie); her loving partner Coley Highsmith; Godmother: Mary J. Glaspy; Sisters: Melanie Bennett, Shasawna Hill, and Trista Dollison; Brothers: Austin Dollison and Bradley Dollison; nephew: Julius D. Lorick Jr., William Malone III, and Doniven Hill-Bush; niece: Amerie Dollison; and a host of relatives and friends.
Services will be held at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, 2624 E 25th St, Indianapolis, IN 46218 on Firday, April 28, 2017 at 1pm with a visitation two hours prior.
