LILLIE JO was united in holy matrimony to the late Curtis Palmer on June 14, 1958. They were married 43 years until his passing in 2001.

LILLIE JO found Christ at a very early age and was a faithful member of Trinity C.M.E Church for over 50 years. In her early years, LILLIE JO was a member of the Missionary Society and served for many years on the Senior Usher Board, welcoming and greeting members and visitors.

LILLIE JO worked for Daimler Chrysler for 37 years as an HR Generalist. She was known by her co-workers as a caring, loving and compassionate individual, who was always there to listen and to help others. Upon her retirement in 2000, LILLIE JO traveled and lived life. In 2006, she began working part-time at Marsh Supermarket where she served in the deli department for 11 years. She was still known to her co-workers and customers as the “lady always with a smile”.

LILLIE JO will be missed by many but we know that to be absent from the body means to be with the Lord. She departed this life on Thursday morning, July 13, 2017 at 2:15am at Methodist Hospital.
