In Loving Memory of Robert "Bobby" Killebrew, Sr.

Robert (Bobby) Killebrew was born on March 28, 1937 to the union of Ross Killebrew and Lillian Tyler Killebrew in Clarksville, TN. The family moved to Kokomo, IN, when Robert was a young boy.

Robert accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church.

Robert attended Kokomo High School where he ran track. After graduating in 1955, he joined the United States Air Force in which he served 6 years as a Mess Cook. After Robert was Honorably discharged from the Air Force he returned to Kokomo, IN, and was hired into Chrysler and worked as a machine operator. Robert retired from Chrysler after 38 years of service.

Robert was an active member of the UAW #685, the Elks, and the American Legion.

In 1956 Robert was joined in marriage to Shirley Mae Bradley. To this union were born 4 children.

Robert was then joined in marriage to Charlene Berryhill. To this union one child was born and Robert adopted her son.

In 1988 Robert met Rosetta Daniels whom he married in 1994, and they made their home Indianapolis, IN.

Robert loved to shoot pool, travel, old school music, and basketball. He hardly ever went anywhere without his beloved dog Sandman. He also loved his two cats Spock and Jewel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son Robert Killebrew Jr.

Robert departed this world on June 9, 2017 at the age of 80 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 29 years, Rosetta Killebrew. Daughters: Juanita Nix, Joyce Durham, Fonda Killebrew. Sons: Myron and Rodney Killebrew. Step daughters: Rhonda Hill, Renee O’Neal. Stepsons: Baron, Brian (Tameika), and Brett Liggins (Josephine). Thirty grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, a host of relatives and friends.
