In Loving Memory of Mrs. Jeanne Wilder Berting Wollenweber

Mrs. Wollenweber, 84 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on December 26, 2016 surrounded by her loving friends. Jeanne was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to B.K. and Verta Wilder. She graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1950, and attended Indiana University, Butler University, Indiana Business College, Dyer Business College and Patricia Stevens Finishing School. Jeanne was active in the Devington Baptist Church. She was a secretary at Indianapolis Life, First Indiana and Best Loc. She and her first husband Bob worked with Dick Summer at Channel 8 for several years teaching the children, and occasionally they did exhibitions. Also, teaching and demonstrating any new steps that came along. Jeanne then taught ballroom dancing at the Arthur Murray School. She also taught dancing at four social clubs, however only one remains and that's The Rivera Club. Jeanne also taught privately for a number of years later. She later married Harold (Hal) Wollenweber and they together owned and managed many home rentals. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Wollenweber. She is survived by cousins, Donald Dober of Brandenton, Florida and Thomas J. McDermott of Palm Springs, California. Close friends; Mrs. Phyllis Johnston, Mr. Greg Johnson, Mrs. Judt Kingston, Mrs. George Ann Riddell. Caregivers; Donna Carter (primary care-giver), Helen Allen, Latwana Horne, Stella Jacobs, Traci Jacobs, Gloria Harris, Helen Avila and Rhonda Taylor.

Funeral Information

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 1:00 pm at Crown Hill Funeral Home, with a service at 2pm. Entombment will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery.
