P. Richard W. Clark known by his family and friends as "Dick" passed away peacefully on November 5, 2017 at the age of 85 years.

A native of Indianapolis, Dick was born on September 5, 1932, at home. He graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1950. He worked at Western Electric for a number of years while also serving honorably in the
United States Naval Reserves.

Dick spent the majority of his career as a hairdresser, graduating from The Approved University of Beauty Culture in Indianapolis in 1960. He steadily worked in salons in Indianapolis, Sarasota, FL and Chicago, IL where he opened The Hair Gallery in 1986 in Evanston, IL.

Our dear uncle had a restless spirit and lived in at least 46 different residences throughout his lifetime, keeping intact his precious friendships and family ties wherever his loved ones were. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend. He loved reading, movies, musicals, plays, books about the universe, dining out, cooking, classical music and art. In his youth he won prizes for his artwork and was talented in sculpting and pencil drawings. He had a great love of sailing and was probably a sailboat captain in a previous life.

He is survived by his brother-in-law, George W. (Bill) Barton, nieces Kimberly (Barton) Igielski (Ted), Nancy Barton, and nephew Michael (Tobie) Barton. Additionally, he had the great joy of watching his great nieces and nephews grow up Michael (Lacie) Molnar, Jamie (Jon) Musrave, Ian and Connor Igielski, Matthew, Delaney and Joshua Barton. He was great-great uncle to Dre and Zoey Molnar and Kaitlyn, Matthew, Hailey and Richard Musgrave. He also leaves behind his precious dog, Fritz. Dick was predeceased by his father Paul W. Clark, mother Jeanne Yates Clark and dear sister, Barbara (Clark) Barton.

In lieu of gifts or flowers, any memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
