CANCELLED: 14th Annual MUSIC OF THE NIGHT Concerts & “SKELETONS IN THE CLOSET, Part I” Walking Tours
October 22 - October 24$22 – $37
We deeply regret that we must cancel our very popular Music of the Night concerts for the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We look forward to seeing you back again in October 2021!
“Music of the Night” Concerts
Our 14th annual “Music of the Night” concerts are something you won’t want to miss! Held in the intimate setting of Crown Hill’s beautiful and historic Gothic Chapel (1875), these sell-out concerts feature professional organist Charles Manning as “The Phantom,” along with professional “Phantom Singers,” Brianna Holt and John Shuffle. They will perform a medley of music from the famous “Phantom of the Opera,” as well as many familiar TV & movie themes that are sure to please. Mr. Manning and the “Phantom Singers” will fill the evening with their wonderful musical gifts as well as humor and drama, followed by donuts and hot cider and a fun guided tour of Crown Hill — in the dark! Tickets go on sale on June 1!
Lights & Sound Effects
We’re excited to welcome Christopher Manning back for his special lights and wonderful sound effects, well as his appearances as Luke Skywalker and the Grim Reaper!
Following the concerts, our guests will be treated to hot apple cider, bottled water, apples, and Long’s Donuts! What’s not to love about that?! Note that outside food and drinks and not permitted in the chapel. Gates open at 5:30 pm on Thursdays and 6:30 on Fridays and Saturdays; feel free to come early and tailgate.
Skeletons in the Closet, Part I Walking Tour
Following refreshments you will have the opportunity to take our super-popular Skeletons in the Closet, Part I walking tour – in the dark – conducted by one of Crown Hill’s expert tour guides, Tom Davis. This is all included in your ticket price! On this one-hour tour, we’ll visit many graves and learn the secrets that some had thought they’d carried to their grave. (Please note that this is not a creepy tour about ghosts, just interesting facts.) Flashlights are recommended, along with good walking shoes. Please dress warmly; our tour takes us to the top of the Crown in the dark and it’s often chilly and windy in the late fall. (Walking up the steep hill to the top of Crown Hill is optional.) Please note that the walking tour is included with the concert ticket and that “tour only” tickets will not be sold.
Due to the intensity of some of the performances, these concerts are not recommended for children under 8 years old.
Due to the unique seating in the Gothic Chapel for the concerts, we can accommodate one wheelchair per concert in the Main Chapel, and one wheelchair ticket per concert is available for purchase. You must purchase a wheelchair ticket to have a wheelchair in the Main Chapel. If it is sold, you must choose another night or purchase a Vestibule ticket. Note that the wheelchair tickets may only be used by guests who must use a wheelchair.
